LMHC has new psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner
Tierria McGlothin, a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, has joined Lakeland Mental Health Center's (LMHC) psychiatric team and will begin to provide telehealth services at both the Detroit Lakes and Moorhead offices in May this year.
McGlothin is an experienced clinician most recently working in in-patient psychiatry and telehealth psychiatry in correctional settings. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, McGlothin worked as a registered nurse for six years, starting out at the University of Mississippi Medical Center before moving into travel nursing, with assignments in California, Texas, and Florida.
McGlothin earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Alcorn State University in 2010 and was named Nurse Rookie of the Year by the Mississippi Nurses Association in 2010. McGlothin received her Master of Science in Nursing degree through the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program at the University of South Alabama.
She is a board-certified psychiatric family mental health nurse practitioner who has expertise treating individuals with a variety of mental health disorders. A few areas of her expertise include ADHD, depression, PTSD, and schizophrenia.
