Lakes Shipping has closed.
The windows at the Detroit Lakes store, at 103 Holmes St. E., were covered this weekend and an "out of business" sign was posted in the door.
Attempts by the Tribune to reach owners by phone have been unsuccessful.
Miranda and Chris Sherman opened the shipping business three days after Goin' Postal closed in May 2018, according to a previous Tribune article.
The business was the only FedEx authorized ship center in a 40-mile radius, Miranda said in the article. They were a full-service shipping centered that also offered gift-wrapping services during the holiday season, she had said.

The Lakes Shipping website and Facebook page are still up, and the phone number is still operating.
