Lakeshirts president named to the Twin Cities Business Magazine’s 2021 Notable Women in Manufacturing

Michelle Daggett, president of Lakeshirts in Detroit Lakes, was named to the Twin Cities Business Magazine's 2021 Notable Women in Manufacturing List, according to a news release from the company. Daggett has been an integral part of Lakeshirts in various leadership positions for nearly 25 years and has been in her current role since 2016.

Michelle Daggett, president of Lakeshirts in Detroit Lakes, was named to the Twin Cities Business Magazine's 2021 Notable Women in Manufacturing List , according to a news release from the company.

She joins 13 other woman manufacturing leaders on this year's list, which has been a traditionally male-dominated field, the release stated.

"I am very honored to be featured among these other leaders, and am thankful for our entire team, our army of problem solvers for their engagement and contributions for making Lakeshirts a great place to work," stated Daggett, in the news release. "I feel fortunate to work with such a great team and look forward to what 2022 has in store for our business."

To qualify for the list, applicants needed at least five years of experience in their field and to "have shown the ability to effect change in their roles," according to the magazine's website.

According to the news release, Daggett was nominated for bringing in an investor in 2019, completing various strategic acquisitions, guiding the organization through the COVID-19 pandemic, her supply and labor shortage work, and cultivating a unique business culture the company credits for its lasting success.

Prior to joining Lakeshirts, Daggett worked as a consultant for Hewitt Associates in Illinois and Wyatt in Eden Prairie, Minn. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Concordia College in Moorhead with a bachelor's degree in business and organizational communications.
