Detroit Lakes Newspapers has a new reporter/webmaster in the news department.
Paula Quam is covering business, education, and White Earth Reservation news, as well as managing the dl-online website.
Quam comes to the newspaper with 10 years of multi-media experience, including four years as an Air Force radio and television broadcaster in Incirlik, Turkey and Naples, Italy.
A Glyndon native, Quam came back to the region, working as a TV news reporter and anchor for KXJB and most recently FOX News in Fargo (then known as Paula Olson).
Since 2006, she has put her journalism career on hold to devote time to the real loves of her life - her four children, Parker, 8, Oliver, 6, Addison, 4, Kaja, 2, and her husband, Donavon.

Now, she is looking forward to getting back to reporting, covering the community which she has also grown to love.
Quam graduated from MSUM with a B.S. in mass communications.
