In an emotional Facebook Live video posted Saturday, March 21, Hub 41 owner Gretchen Hunter thanked the Detroit Lakes area for its support during the coronavirus outbreak, and talked about the hardships facing the restaurant industry.

"This is a bleak time for the restaurant industry," Hunter said in the video. "We are giving it our best effort to stay afloat."

“Sadly, we have had to lay off staff, which is painful and heartbreaking," she continued, her voice breaking. "I can’t say thank you enough to our amazing employees."

Hunter's restaurants, Hub 41 and Brygge in Detroit Lakes, will continue to offer curbside pickup options, but will no longer be offering delivering during the outbreak.

"In the midst of hard days, we still believe in hope.," Hunter said.
