Tom Mack, Detroit Lakes' local area supervisor, has announced his retirement from Arvig Communication Systems (ACS) effective December 31, 2010.
Mack's employment with the company began 37 years ago when he was hired by Lakeland Cablevision to serve as their first technician in the Detroit Lakes area.
"Tom has worked tirelessly to provide our customers with quality telephone, cable television, and Internet services over the years. We have been fortunate to have him as a part of our team," said David Pratt, ACS director of video.
Mack also played an active role in the Detroit Lakes Fire Department for 24 years before he retired in 1999.
