Pancake Breakfast: The local Knights of Columbus will be hosting a breakfast fundraiser with a choice of pancakes or French toast, sausage and a beverage, from 8 a.m. to noon in the Holy Rosary Parish Center, 1043 Lake Ave., Detroit Lakes, with all proceeds going to support local activities.

Turkey Bingo: Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 210 W. Maple Ave., Frazee, will be offering 20 games of Turkey Bingo starting at 1 p.m. Prizes awarded will include one turkey for each game winner and consolation prizes if there is more than one bingo. The last game will be black-out, with the grand prize being supplies for a turkey dinner. Cost is 3 cards for a dollar. Proceeds to benefit ongoing repairs at the church parsonage.

Driver's License Exam Prep Class: Detroit Lakes Adult Basic Education will offer a driver's exam prep class from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at its M State office. This class is designed to help unlicensed adult drivers become familiar with vocabulary, signs, and rules of the road so they can successfully pass the written portion of the Minnesota Driver's License Exam. Fairbanks Memorial Highway Dedication: A special ceremony to dedicate the James D. Fairbanks Memorial Highway through Becker County will take place at 2 p.m. at the intersection of Minnesota State Highway 34 and Becker County Highway 26, a half mile west of Osage. The Lake Region Veterans Color Guard will be participating along with the Jack Pine Singers and master of ceremonies Bud Parker. Note: This is an outdoor event, so please dress appropriately for the weather.

Mamma Mia: The 2019 fall musical at Detroit Lakes Public Schools, "Mamma Mia," will be presented in four performances at Detroit Lakes Middle School's George Simson Auditorium, at 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 2, 7 and 9, and at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 3. All tickets are $10 and may be purchased in advance at Central Market in Detroit Lakes.

Becker County Sportsmen's Club Rifle Sight-In: The 2019 Becker County Sportsmen's Club Rifle Sight-In will take place on Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 2-3. The range will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. There will be no charge for current club members who can show a current membership card. All others will be charged $5 per gun. Youth shooters from 12-18 years old can shoot for free if they are accompanied by an adult and have their Minnesota Firearms Safety Certificate with them. No one will be admitted to the firing line after 3:45 p.m. Memberships are available in advance at Lakes Sports Shop in Detroit Lakes as well as at the Sportsmen's Club during the shoot.

Roses from Rotary: The Detroit Lakes Breakfast Rotary’s 26th annual Roses from Rotary fundraiser will be held Wednesday through Friday, Nov. 6-8. Pick up roses at Bergen’s on Willow Street, the Essentia Health St. Mary's clinic lobby or DL Floral in the Washington Square Mall. Cost is only $20 per dozen, with proceeds benefiting area literacy, hunger and wellness projects.

LakesCon: A celebration of retro-modern video gaming, tabletop gaming, board games, cosplay, anime, music and more, LakesCon will take place Friday through Sunday, Nov. 8-10 at the Holiday Inn Lakefront, Detroit Lakes.

ServSafe Food Manager Classes: Detroit Lakes Adult Basic Education is offering ServSafe Food Manager classes on Mondays and Wednesdays in October. Participants will learn best practices and regulations for safe food management, and those successfully completing the course and exam will be able to register with the Minnesota Department of Health as a certified ServSafe Food Manager.
