Holmes Art Show: The 16th Annual Holmes Art Show concludes today at the Historic Holmes Theatre Ballroom, 806 Summit Ave., Detroit Lakes. The three-day event features area artists specializing in several mediums, including everything from beautifully hand-crafted jewelry to wood turned bowls, watercolor and oil paintings, photography, handcrafted note cards, candles and soaps. St. Peter's Fall Bazaar: St. Peter's Catholic Church, 305 West 5th St., Park Rapids, will host its annual fall bazaar from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. there will be coffee and rolls available at 9 a.m., and lunch is served from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. There will be homemade lefse and a "huge" bake sale along with a children's dollar store and door prize giveaways. Pet Photos with Santa: The Humane Society of the Lakes, Becker Pet & Garden and The Candy Store are co-hosting a special "Pet Photos with Santa" event. Santa Claus is coming to town, so bring your pets and your whole family to Becker Pet & Garden and The Candy Store at 1008 Washington Ave., Detroit Lakes, between 9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. for a visit with Santa! A $25 donation to the Humane Society of the Lakes includes a photo shoot with Santa and your own SD card to keep, plus a $5 Candy Store gift card, samples, and hot cider. And 15% of all store purchases will be donated to the HSL shelter.
Marshmallow Foundation Open House: Lucky Dog, the Marshmallow Foundation and Patriot Assistance Dogs will be hosting a Holiday Open House at 1478 Mallard Street, Detroit Lakes, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. A bake sale, silent auction, vendor booths, photos with Santa, fudge and chili making contests and more are on the agenda. Festival of Trees: Detroit Lakes’ 4th Annual Festival of Trees is scheduled to take place from 5:30-9:30 p.m. in the Holiday Inn Lakefront. Christmas Bash for Cash: Lakes Area Vineyard Church, 950 Longview Drive, Detroit Lakes, will host a night filled with laughter, door prizes, a silent auction, dinner, childcare, entertainment, ugly sweater contest, and much more, from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Individual tickets are $8 in advance or $10 at the door; family tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door. Proceeds to help offset the cost of sending church mission teams to Angola, Africa; Mazatlan, Mexico; and Elbow Lake, Minn. Lake Park Parade of Trees: The community of Lake Park would like to invite all lakes area residents to come view their 15th Annual Parade of Trees at the American Legion, located at 2051 2nd St., Lake Park. More than 30 uniquely and festively decorated trees will be on display from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 28 (Thanksgiving Day); 10 a.m.-8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 29; 10 a.m.-7 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 30; and 10 a.m.-1 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 1. Memory Cafe of the Lakes: Memory Cafe of the Lakes is a free place to gather, open to those with mild to moderate memory problems and their care partner. Volunteer Respite Care: Become a respite care volunteer! For those 17 years and older interested in providing basic companion and supervision to older adults to relieve their primary caregivers. Preschool screening: Preschool screening for 3-5 year olds for the Frazee-Vergas district is provided through Becker County Community Health Services. Minnesota law requires each child attend a health and developmental screening before kindergarten.

Whist is played on Thursdays at 9:30 a.m. The third Wednesday of each month will be a celebration of birthdays for the month.
