Bird expert will speak in NYM Tuesday

Dick Oehlenschlager of the Minnesota Science Museum will present a free lecture/workshop on bird identification next Tuesday, Sept. 30 at the Cultural Center in New York Mills.

Dick Oehlenschlager of the Minnesota Science Museum will present a free lecture/workshop on bird identification next Tuesday, Sept. 30 at the Cultural Center in New York Mills.

The 7 p.m. event is open to the public, and there is no admission fee to attend.

Oehlenschlager is an avid birdwatcher and he has identified nearly 200 bird species in Wadena County alone.

This presentation is a rare opportunity to learn from one of the most knowledgeable birders in the state of Minnesota.
