Sunday, July 11
Sunday morning saw eight heats of Turtle and Frog races where children raced their animals from an inner circle to an outer circle in City Park.

Toddlers participated in the Toddler Trot in City Park in an event that saw dozens of barely walking children run after inflatable beach balls on a small hill.

Face painting was also available near The Pavilion in City Park for a large part of the afternoon as well as sidewalk-chalk art displays.

Also on Sunday, teams of ship builders gathered near City Beach to build floatable, raceable rafts out of Syrofoam and cardboard. Teams had 20 minutes to build the most seaworthy craft possible and then one participant needed to steer the craft around a swimming buoy.

However, the afternoon belonged to the pooches. The Puppy Plunge kicked off to a packed City Beach of spectators and the dogs delivered the entertainment. Many of the dogs leapt nearly 20 feet off the edge of the dock.
