The VFW gave out Americanism poster contest awards in Holy Rosary, Roosevelt and Rossman elementary schools.
Kindergarten through second grade students drew a picture of "The American Flag," and third and fourth graders made a collage "Showing your Favorite Things about America."
The VFW Americanism chairman is Leatrice Wertz. Commander is Dave Coalwell, and the Women's Auxiliary president is Connie Coalwell.
