Whether you come for the musical entertainment and performances, the huge assortment of crafts offered by 165 booths, or the delicious food, the Phelps Mill Festival is guaranteed to provide something right up your alley.
Supporting interest in cultural traditions and the Arts, the festival is in its 28th year, and is traditionally held the second weekend of July. This summer the event will be Saturday, July 12, and Sunday, July 13. The festival grounds open at 9:30 am both days, and are open until 5 p.m. on Saturday and 4 p.m. on Sunday.
A speaker will be featured both days, as well as musical performances by various groups. James Wedgewood, a comic ventriloquist, has two shows on Saturday. Also on Saturday will be performances by the Boundary Water Boys, who showcase a blend of swing, blues, Celtic, bluegrass, Americana, and folk music. On Sunday the 57 Chevy Band will play a range of music from classic oldies to fun ‘80s favorites.
A variety of delicious food including many fair favorites will be served from booths run by non-profits throughout the Otter Tail County area.
A breakfast will also be served by the Ottertail Lions on both days of the festival at 8 a.m.
A children’s play area will be provided for a small fee, with supervision from Our Lady of Victory Youth Group.
While free parking and a shuttle service are provided, a $3 admission charge is required to enter the festival. Children under the age of 12 are admitted for free.
