Taking advantage of last Wednesday's unusually warm winter weather, several classes from Detroit Lakes' elementary schools walked through the City Park and beach area to see King Isbit's Ice Palace, tour the surrounding snow and ice sculptures, and enjoy some tubing outside the Pavilion. Temperatures that day reached into the mid-40s and the sun was shining, making it a great day to get outside. Pictured are students from Greta Hatton's kindergarten class at Roosevelt Elementary, having a blast on the sliding hill.
