One Lunger 100 Vintage Snowmobile Racing: Come to Detroit Lakes' Holiday Inn starting at 11 a.m. and enjoy some snowmobile racing on Big Detroit Lake, featuring upwards of 100 vintage single-cylinder sleds. The main race gets underway at noon; those who would like to get a look at the sleds and register to win one of their own should come a little earlier. Lantern Lit Ski & Snowshoe: Visit Itasca State Park and ski or snowshoe by the light of the moon and kerosene lanterns along the trail from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Go at your own pace along the lantern lit route during this drop-in program. A limited number of snowshoes will be available to check out from the Visitor Center for those who do not have their own.
Music Under the Pines: Visit Itasca State Park's Jacob V. Brower Visitor Center and spend some time listening to musician Lori Goulet Reich from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Hot chocolate and cider will be available.

Legion Auxiliary Breakfast Fundraiser: The American Legion Post 15 Auxiliary will host a breakfast fundraiser from 8 a.m. to noon at the Legion Club in Detroit Lakes. Choice of biscuits and gravy, pancakes or French toast, sausage or bacon, scrambled eggs and coffee, all for a suggested donation of $7.
Pancake Breakfast: The Callaway Lions Club will host a pancake breakfast from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Callaway Community Center, with proceeds from the free will offering event to benefit community projects.
Knights Free Throw Competition: All boys and girls ages 9 to 14 are invited to participate in the 2019 Knights of Columbus Free Throw Championship. The local competition will be held at 1 p.m. in the Holy Rosary School Gymnasium (1043 Lake Ave., Detroit Lakes). Winners of the local event will advance to district competition. Peoples Park Skating Rink & Warming House: From now through Feb. 28, the outdoor skating rink and warming house at Peoples Park will be open every Monday through Friday, 3-5:30 p.m. and 6-8:30 p.m.; and Saturdays and Sundays, 12-5 p.m. and 6-8:30 p.m. (the rink will be lit up from dusk until closing). On days when there is no school, the rink and warming house will be open 12-5 p.m. and 6-8:30 p.m. Schedule is weather dependent; changes and/or cancellations will be announced on KRCQ Radio and the City of Detroit Lakes Facebook page.

Preschool screening: Preschool screening for 3-5 year olds for the Frazee-Vergas district is provided through Becker County Community Health Services. Minnesota law requires each child attend a health and developmental screening before kindergarten.
Senior Center Activities: The DL Senior Citizens Center has activities all month long. Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. is Pinochle; at 1 p.m. there will be 500 and other games. Whist is played on Thursdays at 9:30 a.m. The third Wednesday of each month will be a celebration of birthdays for the month.
