The Great Polar Race: From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., teams of 2-4 people will drive around Detroit Lakes to solve riddles, complete assigned tasks and compete for prizes. Poles & Holes Fishing Derby: Fishing lines will drop at noon for the 9th annual Detroit Lakes Breakfast Rotary Club “Poles and Holes” Fishing Derby on Little Detroit Lake. Fandazzi Fire Circus: Come watch the Fandazzi Fire Circus bring a little fire to this year's MN Sn'Ice Showcase at the Detroit Lakes City Beach and Park, with shows at 7 and 9 p.m. Fandazzi Fire Circus has extensive performance experience and provides thrilling fire acts suitable for all ages. They are the only fire group to hold multiple Guinness World Records, and to be named best stage act at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival.

Wildlife Movie: Come to the Tamarac Refuge Visitor Center at 2 p.m. and enjoy the 55-minute wildlife movie, "Snow Bears." Set against the harsh backdrop of the Arctic, Snow Bears is a story based on the extraordinary adventures and life-changing journey of newborn polar bear cubs as they leave the safety of their den for the first time. Bravely led by their mother, the cubs must make the perilous 400-mile trek to the sea to feed. Encountering many dangers and adventures along the way — marauding male bears ready to kill, extreme weather, Arctic foxes, Walruses, Narwhal whales, snowdrifts, and ice cracks — they undertake an epic survival challenge. Minne-"Soda" Hot Dish & Dessert Challenge: Come to Detroit Lakes' Grace Lutheran Church at 4 p.m. and sample the hot dish and dessert bar recipes of some of the region's best cooks — including the reigning Miss Minnesota, who has thrown her crock pot into the ring for this year's hot dish competition. Celebrity judges will choose the winners in each category, but the public will also have the chance to vote on the People's Choice overall winner. Admission is a free will offering, with proceeds to support the Becker County Food Pantry.

St. Peters Lutheran Hotdish Luncheon: St. Peters Lutheran Church, 19747 County Highway 6, Audubon, will host a Hotdish Luncheon from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. A variety of hot dishes will be served, along with coleslaw and dessert. Admission is a free will offering.

Area Schools Polar Fest Snow Sculpture Competition: Teams from 13 area schools will vie for the title of Polar Fest Snow Sculpting Champion from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Detroit Lakes City Park. The public is invited to come watch and cheer on their favorite competitors. King Isbit's Royal Courtyard and Palatial Playground, including the sledding hill, will be open until 8 p.m. Limited sleds available, first come first serve.

Polar Fest Presentation by Jared Munch: The Detroit Lakes Public Library is hosting a special Polar Fest presentation by Arctic explorer Jared Munch, "Paddleboarding from Duluth to the Arctic Ocean," starting at 7 p.m. Free and open to the public.

Noon Rotary Polarific Spaghetti Dinner: The Detroit Lakes Noon Rotary Club will hold their annual Polarific Spathetti Dinner from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the M State Cafeteria. Proceeds will go towards high school scholarships and youth related activities in Detroit Lakes, Frazee, Lake Park and Audubon.

ULTRA Vintage Snowmobile Rally & Swap Meet: The ULTRA Snowmobile Club of Detroit Lakes will host their 17th Annual Vintage Snowmobile Rally & Swap Meet from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the Detroit Lakes City Beach in front of Zorbaz. Polar Fest Kids’ Pan Fishing Derby: The Minnesota Darkhouse & Angling Association will host its annual Polar Fest Kids’ Pan Fishing Derby from 12 to 1:30 p.m. on Little Detroit Lake, at the Rossman Avenue Public Access. This derby is free for all kids age 13 and under; holes will be drilled and worms will be provided. Many prizes will be given out, including a Biggest Fish Trophy.

Candlelit Cross Country Ski Night: Get out your cross country skis for a candlelit ski through the woods at Detroit Mountain Recreation Area from 6 to 8 p.m. The inner loop of the east side cross country ski trails at Detroit Mountain will be lit with votive candles. STEAM Club at the Becker County Museum: The Becker County Museum will be hosting a weekly Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math (STEAM) Club every Tuesday at 3:30 p.m., now through March 31. ServSafe Food Manager Classes: Detroit Lakes Adult Basic Education is offering ServSafe Food Manager classes on Wednesdays and Fridays, Feb. 19-March 6. Participants will learn best practices and regulations for safe food management, and those successfully completing the course and exam will be able to register with the Minnesota Department of Health as a certified ServSafe Food Manager. Volunteer Respite Care: Become a respite care volunteer! For those 17 years and older interested in providing basic companion and supervision to older adults to relieve their primary caregivers. AmeriCorps volunteers receive a $200 per month stipend and after completing 450 hours in a year, receive a $1,600 educational grant. Preschool screening: Preschool screening for 3-5 year olds for the Frazee-Vergas district is provided through Becker County Community Health Services.
