Each submission must include the following: Date, time and location of event, whether it is recurring or a one-time happening, and where to go for more information (phone, email and/or website). Also include whether the event is free or paid admission, and how much it costs when applicable.

Food Truck Fridays: Hosted by Detroit Lakes Noon Rotary, the final Food Truck Friday of 2020 will be held at the Detroit Lakes City Park from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Multiple food trucks will be on site; event will be held rain or shine.

Grape Stomp Festival: Richwood Winery will be hosting its 7th Annual Grape Stomp Festival on Saturday, Sept. 12 from 1 to 7 p.m. Due to pandemic safety precautions, ticket sales for this event will be limited to 200 people, and restricted to those age 21 and up. Tickets are $10 each, and must be purchased in advance this year, at the richwoodwinery.com website. No tickets will be sold at the door; proof of ticket purchase must be shown, after which each attendee will be presented with a complimentary wine glass. Toast to Tamarac: The 2020 Toast to Tamarac fundraiser, originally set for Friday, Sept. 11 at Richwood Winery, has been canceled. The Friends of Tamarac National Wildlife Refuge are hoping to create a virtual alternative, however, with an online auction set to open Friday, Sept. 18. If you have gifts, antiques, home decor, services you can provide, etc., please consider donating it to the Friends' auction. Auction donations can be dropped off this Friday, Sept. 3 at Lakeside Tavern in Detroit Lakes, or Thursday, Sept. 10 at the Moorhead Center Mall. Detroit Lakes Bowling Association: Bowling leagues are forming now and are looking for bowlers. Leagues will begin the week of Sept. 7 at Detroit Lakes' Voyageur Lanes.
