The Detroit Lakes Tribune has once again begun accepting community calendar items, for publication online and in our Wednesday print edition.

Submissions must be made at least a week in advance of the event date, in writing, to either dltribune@dlnewspapers.com or vgerdes@dlnewspapers.com.

Each submission must include the following: Date, time and location of event, whether it is recurring or a one-time happening, and where to go for more information (phone, email and/or website). Also include whether the event is free or paid admission, and how much it costs when applicable.

Grape Stomp Festival: Richwood Winery will be hosting its 7th Annual Grape Stomp Festival on Saturday, Sept. 12 from 1 to 7 p.m. Due to pandemic safety precautions, ticket sales for this event will be limited to 150 people, and restricted to those age 21 and up. Tickets are $10 each, and must be purchased in advance this year, at the richwoodwinery.com website. No tickets will be sold at the door; proof of ticket purchase must be shown, after which each attendee will be presented with a complimentary wine glass. Lakes Area Women's Expo: Leighton Broadcasting will host its annual Lakes Area Women's Expo at Richwood Winery this year. The event will be held from 2 to 8 p.m., with tickets available in two "waves," either 2-5 p.m. or 5-8 p.m. COVID safety guidelines will be followed. Bethlehem Lutheran Fall Dinner: Bethlehem Lutheran Church of Frazee will hold its annual Fall Dinner from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. A turkey steak dinner with mashed potatoes and gravy, glazed carrots, coleslaw and dessert will be served; no beverages will be available. Proceeds to benefit church mission projects.

Bible Reading Marathon: New York Mills' first Bible Reading Marathon will take place starting Sunday, Sept. 13 and continuing through Thursday, Sept. 17 in the Centennial Park Gazebo. Opening ceremony at 2 p.m. Sunday, with the first Bible reading to start at 3 p.m. Readings will be assigned in 15-minute slots.
