Community Conversations: The second in a series of "Community Conversations" virtual discussions, "Beyond Diversity to Cultural Competence," will take place from 7 to 8 p.m. via Zoom. There is no cost to participate, but pre-registration is required. Visit the Historic Holmes Theatre website to sign up; this event is co-hosted by the Holmes Theatre, Becker County Museum and Detroit Lakes Public Library.

Lenten Fish Fry: The Knights of Columbus Council 12581, of Frazee, is having their annual fundraising fish fry dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 202 Maple Ave. West, Frazee. Meals will be for pick-up only; there will be no dining at the church, according to the Knights. The dinners include fried fish, scalloped potatoes, coleslaw, bread and ice cream. Cost is $10 per person.

Jaycees Polar Pile-Up-CANCELED: The Detroit Lakes Jaycees were forced to cancel their 2021 Polar Pile-Up at the Becker County Fairgrounds due to COVID-19 safety restrictions. The announcement was made via their Facebook page on Monday, Feb. 22.

Lenten Fish Fry: The Holy Rosary Knights of Columbus will be sponsoring a ”Take Out Only” Lenten Fish Fry; pickup is between 5-7 p.m. in the Holy Rosary Church south parking lot. Menu includes fish, potatoes, coleslaw, baked beans, bun and dessert Cost is $10 for adults.


Naytahwaush Nightriders' 51st Annual Snodeo: The Naytahwaush Nightriders' 51st Annual Snodeo is set for Saturday and Sunday, March 6-7 at Pinehurst Resort. Saturday's events include the Snodeo 200 snowmobile races on the lake, a radar run, vintage snowmobile show and old timers' ride, while Sunday's lineup includes more lake races, another radar run and prize drawings. There is plenty of room for ice castles and campers to park on South Twin Lake; gate fee is $10 per day, per person, though those age 12 and under will be admitted free of charge. Proceeds from the event are used for trail maintenance.
