Each submission must include the following: Date, time and location of event, whether it is recurring or a one-time happening, and where to go for more information (phone, email and/or website). Also include whether the event is free or paid admission, and how much it costs when applicable.

Glass on Glass Mosaics Class: Two sessions of "Glass on Glass Mosaics" will be taught by instructor JoAnn McFarlin at the Holmes Art Cellar, 806 Summit Ave., Detroit Lakes. Alcohol Inks Class: Join instructor Tammy Swift at the Becker County Museum (714 Summit Ave., Detroit Lakes) for a special 6 p.m. class on using alcohol inks with white paint detailing to create a unique 9x12-inch piece of art to take home with you. Spring Fling Meatloaf Dinner: Grace Lutheran Church, 213 Roosevelt Ave., Detroit Lakes, will host a "Spring Fling" drive through meat loaf dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. Cost is $10 per meal, which includes meatloaf, scalloped potatoes, green bean casserole, "frog's eye" salad, dinner roll and candy bar. Proceeds to benefit Hospice of the Red River Valley and ongoing church projects.
Sailboat Regatta Party: Come see all 150 sailboats designed for the "150 Sails Up in DL" public art project, on display at Detroit Lakes' Kent Freeman Arena (1310 Rossman Ave.) from 4 to 7 p.m. This will be the only time that all of the sculptures will be displayed in one place. Free Tree Giveaway: First Lutheran Church, 912 Lake Ave., Detroit Lakes, will be having a free tree giveaway from 9:30 a.m. to noon. Come to the back parking lot and help the environment! The trees will be 6-10 inch bare root and will include paper birch, black chokecherry, cranberry bush, red splendor crabapple and Black Hills spruce. Limit three trees per person. Storytime Live: Join Kai from the Moorhead Public Library or Eliza from the Detroit Lakes Public Library for a 10 a.m. Storytime featuring songs and stories. This virtual event will be streamed live on the Lake Agassiz Regional Library Facebook page (facebook.com/larlmn) and a recording will be available following the presentation. No pre-registration is required. If you enter the stream before 10:30 a.m., just refresh until the session starts.

Mommy & Me Painting Class: A special Mother's Day-themed painting class for moms and their children will get underway at 6 p.m. in the Holmes Art Cellar, located on the basement level of the Historic Holmes Theatre, 806 Summit Ave., Detroit Lakes. Moms can paint a flower pot and each child can paint colorful flowers for this special, two-canvas art piece. Class takes place in person; masks are required. Eagles Charity Auction: The Detroit Lakes Eagles Club, 112 W. Holmes St., will host a live charity auction starting at 6:30 p.m. All are welcome to attend and participate.
Tamarac Spring Clean-up Days: Come out to Tamarac National Wildlife Refuge on Friday and Saturday, April 30-May 1 and show your love for all things wild. After a long year, the refuge needs a good spring cleaning! Participants can stop by anytime at the Visitor Center parking area between 9 a.m.-12 p.m. to check in and pick up snacks, garbage bags, and orange vests. Please bring your own work gloves and lunch. Wear sturdy shoes and clothes for weather conditions and bring insect repellant. There will be a dumpster at the Visitor Center parking area to stash the trash. You will need to return trash and equipment by 4 p.m. The Visitor Center is located 9 miles north of State Hwy 34 at the junction of County Highways 29 and 26.
