Detroit Lakes High School homecoming royalty, athletic teams and clubs paraded down Washington Avenue on Friday for their annual homecoming parade.

The street was lined with supporters and plenty of kids eagerly awaiting handfuls of candy as the flatbeds, trailers and other vehicles made their way down the main roadway in Detroit Lakes on Oct. 1.

This year's homecoming King and Queen are seniors Nate Cihak and Abbee Traurig, who were crowned in a ceremony at the school on Sept. 27.
