Members of the Lake Park Audubon FCCLA Chapter hosted their third annual Sadie Hawkins High School Dance on Friday, Nov. 16. This was the first official dance hosted at the new high school building.
The evening events started at 8:30, with a semi-formal Sadie Hawkins Dance featuring the lights and music of Jim Hanson, Music Central from Fargo. Attributing the help of many parent and student volunteers, the evening was a great success.
The event raised over $900, which will be used to benefit many of the service projects the chapter helps to sponsor including Children's Miracle Network, Santas for Seniors, Becker County Human Services and the Giving Tree programs.
LPA FCCLA student officers planned, organized and implemented the entire evening.
FCCLA is open for all students in grades 7-12 to join and is the only youth led organization that has a central focus on the family unit. FCCLA is the youth organization that supports the Family and Consumer Science curriculum.
