Tonight (Wednesday) the always-popular water fights, where two teams battle with high-pressure fire department hoses to push a suspended ball across the centerline, will be happening at the City Park.
The junior water fights run from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. and the adult water fights start at 7 p.m., with registration at 6 p.m.
Also today, there’s an ice cream social at 6 p.m. in the City Park.
And The Heartshakers, a Tom Petty tribute band, will perform at 7:30 p.m. in the Historic Holmes Theatre (806 Summit Ave.).
Most events are free admission with a water carnival button, but tickets for the concert are $30.
