ITOW museum to host reception for veterans’ art exhibit this Thursday

The community is invited to a reception for an art show representing the work of three area veterans on Thursday, Sept. 25 from 3 to 5 p.m. in the gallery of the ITOW Veterans Museum, 805 W. Main, Perham.

The community is invited to a reception for an art show representing the work of three area veterans on Thursday, Sept. 25 from 3 to 5 p.m. in the gallery of the ITOW Veterans Museum, 805 W. Main, Perham.

Guests will have an opportunity to meet the artists who will discuss their work, including:

  • Erv Wegscheid, painting;
  • Mark Lehman, mixed media featuring art from rubbing of ancient brass plates; and
  • Charlie Silbernagel, woodworking.

This event is free and open to the public and refreshments will be served.
Artists that would like to be considered for future gallery shows are encouraged to attend.

The Veterans Art Show continues through Veterans Day, Nov. 11.

The ITOW Veterans Museum Gallery is located in the HACA Events Center in Perham at 805 W. Main, on the west side of downtown Perham.

The gallery exhibit is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through grants from the Lake Region Arts Council, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.

The History, Arts and Cultural Association (HACA) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to perpetuating programs, events and education in history, arts, culture in the Perham community.

HACA manages the ITOW Veterans Museum, the Pioneer Village, the History Museum and Historical Society of East Otter Tail County.
