CITY OF DETROIT LAKES - SOUTH SHORE PARK SHELTER
Detroit Lakes, Minnesota
Sealed proposals shall be received for the construction of the Park Shelter located on South Shore Drive in Detroit Lakes, MN, in accordance with the Construction Documents prepared by BHH Partners Planners/Architects, 650 3rd Avenue Southeast, Perham, MN 56573.
Project Description: Slab on grade, single story wood framed park structure with masonry veneer and pitched metal roof.
Basis of Bids: A single lump sum bid will be received for the following area of work as noted in the Construction Documents: General Construction Work Sales Tax Exemption Notice: The City of Detroit Lakes, being a tax exempt entity, will be accepting separate bids for materials and labor as required under state law to purchase materials and equipment tax exempt.
Bid Date/Time: Bids for the project will be received until 2:00 pm local time on Tuesday, February 4, 2020, and will be publicly opened at that time and read aloud.
Bid Opening: Sealed bids shall be received and opened at Detroit Lakes City Administrative Building (City Hall Council Chambers), 1025 Roosevelt Avenue, Detroit Lakes. All bidders who are not attending may mail their bid to Brad Green, City of Detroit Lakes – South Shore Park Shelter, 1025 Roosevelt Avenue, Detroit Lakes, MN56501
Examination of Documents: Drawings, Specifications and other Contract Documents may be examined at the following locations:

Procurement of Documents:
1. Printed Documents: Prime Bidders may secure one (1) set of the Contract Documents at the office of the Architect (BHH Partners Planners/Architects, PO Box 185, 650 3rd Avenue Southeast, Perham,
MN 56573) upon deposit of $50.00 per set.
Time of Completion: The completion date for this project is set at Friday, November 6, 2020, or earlier, if possible.
Bonding and Bidding Requirements: Each Contractor shall be required to provide a Performance Bond and a Material and Labor Payment Bond in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract Amount.
Bid Security: Bids that shall be accompanied by Bid Security in the form of a certified check, cashier’s check or bid bond in the amount of five (5%) percent of the Base Bid submitted, made payable to the Owner, as guarantee that the Bidder will, if awarded, enter into a Contract in accordance with Contract Documents and submitted bid.
Wage Rate: Project is not subject to Davis Bacon Act.
Right to Reject Bids: The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids or parts thereof.
