The Historic Holmes Theatre in Detroit Lakes is prescribing a hearty dose of laughter to take care of a case of the winter blues. The Holmes has three national comedy acts scheduled for January and February.
Patrons can choose any two shows for a combined ticket price of just $35.
The first of the trio of comedy acts, Deuces Wild! Dueling Pianos, returns to the Historic Holmes Theatre by popular demand on Thursday, Jan. 14 at 7:30 p.m. Self-taught pianists David Charles Eicholz and Ted Manderfield will present a unique blend of music, comedy and audience interaction. The hilarious one-man show "Post Comedy Theatre" is set for Thursday, Jan. 28 at 7:30 p.m. Robert Post is a brilliant physical comedian specializing in "rapid fire" character changes. He will portray everything from a wacky TV chef to a fearless stunt pilot to a classical ballerina -- all in one show!
What happens when you take a guy from Alabama and you move him up to Minnesota and let him experience his first winter? Find out when C. Willi Myles visits the Holmes on Thursday, Feb. 11 at 7:30 p.m. Myles moved to Minnesota from the south to attend college, then became a coach for his alma mater and got the comedy bug while traveling around the country scouting talent and meeting interesting people.

After two years hosting shows at a local comedy club, he was spotted by the owner of a record label and was signed to a two-year deal to open up for concerts throughout the Midwest. He's been a professional comedian ever since.
