Minnesota FoodShare campaign starts March 1 at Becker County Food Pantry

The largest grassroots food and fund drive in the state, the Minnesota FoodShare March Campaign begins Sunday, March 1, and the Becker County Food Pantry is once again participating.

The Minnesota FoodShare campaign brings together various community organizations, businesses and faith communities to help stock nearly 300 food shelves statewide, according to a news release. To date, Minnesota FoodShare has distributed over $17.2 million to participating food shelves via its Food Fund.

Financial contributions are preferred, according to Food Pantry Executive Director Brad Carlson.

Donations may be dropped off at the Food Pantry anytime between 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Checks may also be mailed to the Becker County Food Pantry, 1308 Rossman Ave., Detroit Lakes, MN 56501. Donate by credit card at www.givemn.org/organization/Becker-County-Food-Pantry .
