Feed My Starving Children provides nutritional meals to children in North America and around the world, but they need volunteers to pack the meals and donate money for their cost.

On Saturday Sept. 14, the organization is hoping that 500 volunteers will come to the MobilePack in Detroit Lakes to help.

This is the group's second annual mobile pack. The goal of this charitable effort by local churches is to raise $22,239, which helps to pay for the funds needed to package the meals. Each meal costs about $0.24 to package, and on Saturday, the organization has a goal of packaging $24,261 worth of meals, according to their website.

So far, $17,027 has been raised. There are 19 volunteer positions open.
