The Detroit Lakes Lions Club recently collected almost 500 pounds of food and over $4,100 in cash during their annual drive to support the Becker County Food Pantry.

The drive was organized by an all-volunteer crew, who also distributed over 100 coupons donated by the Detroit Lakes Dairy Queen Grill and Chill. The local DQ was a co-sponsor for the event.

The Lions are also collecting aluminum cans at the fairgrounds to raise funds for local projects, selling geraniums for their spring fundraiser, and will be running their High Striker game at WE Fest in August.
