Stewart named to dean's list at St. Mary's
WINONA — Detroit Lakes' own Paul Stewart, son of Michael and Michelle Stewart, was among those students named to the second semester, 2017-18 dean's list at Saint Mary's University of Minnesota.
The list includes 326 undergraduate students who earned a grade point average of 3.60 or better (on a 4.0 scale) for the semester.
Area students named to BSU dean's list
BEMIDJI — Several area residents were among the 703 students who earned dean's list honors from Bemidji State University in Bemidji, Minn., at the conclusion of the spring 2018 semester.
Those students from this area who were named to the dean's list include: Erin Voge, Audubon; Madison Gjersvig and Arica Mahliaire, Detroit Lakes; Alec Meyer, Frazee; William Pihlaja, Osage; and Tabbitha Hiemenz, Rochert.
To be eligible for the dean's list, BSU students must be enrolled for at least 12 credits and earn a 3.5 GPA during the semester.
Hoffert named to Bethel dean's list
ST. PAUL — Madeline Hoffert, a junior at Bethel University in St. Paul, has been named to the dean's list for academic excellence during the spring 2018 semester. She is the daughter of Brad and Lisa Hoffert, Detroit Lakes.
The dean's list honors Bethel students who achieve an outstanding scholastic record during the semester, with a grade point average of 3.6 or greater (on a 4.0 scale).
Schiltz earns academic honors at MSU-Mankato
MANKATO — Emily Schiltz, Detroit Lakes, was among those students at Minnesota State University-Mankato to qualify for the academic honors list at the end of spring semester 2018.
Among 3,035 students, a total of 768 students qualified for the high honor list by achieving a 4.0 straight "A" average, while 2,266 students earned a 3.5 to 3.99 average to qualify for the honor list.
To qualify for academic honors, undergraduate students must be enrolled for at least 12 credit hours for the semester. Minnesota State Mankato has a current enrollment of 14,712 students.

DULUTH — Several area students were named to the dean's list for academic achievement during spring semester 2018 at the University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD).

The following students have been named to the 2018 spring semester dean's list at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities: Shay M. Nielsen, Detroit Lakes; Chelsea M. Labarre, Rochert, and Lindsay M. Labarre, Rochert.
To qualify for the dean's list, a student must complete 12 or more letter-graded credits while achieving a 3.66 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) for the semester.
Blanchard on dean's list at UW-Madison
MADISON (Wis.) — Evan Blanchard, Vergas, a student in the College of Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, was named to the dean's list for academic achievement during the spring semester of the 2017-18 academic year.
To be eligible for the dean's list, College of Engineering students must complete a minimum of 12 graded degree credits in that semester, while achieving a grade point average of 3.5 or higher (on a 4.0 scale).
