Without meetings since the COVID-19 pandemic began, the Detroit Lakes Breakfast Rotary Club decided to get outside. Rotary member Brent Gerber suggested picking up Detroit Lakes High School’s canceled “Day of Caring” event with United Way. On Saturday, June 6, Rotarians completed a number of projects for five residents, including planting flowers, washing windows, raking, mowing and painting. Karen Hanson’s flower bed was weeded by Rotarians Kelsey Kleven, Doug Dunham and Jen Wentz, along with daughter, Maren. (Submitted photo)
