Shooting Star Casino will temporarily close its two locations, Mahnomen and Bagley, at 5 p.m. today, March 18, amid coronavirus concerns, according to a news release from the casino.
The current plan is to remain closed for two weeks until Wednesday, April 1, according to the release, but conditions will be reevaluated before reopening.
Shooting Star says it will compensate workers throughout the two-week closure, according to the release.

Since the outbreak, Shooting Star has have provided additional sanitation stations across the casinos, hotel, restaurants and event center, among other precautions, according to the release.

In addition, several concerts have been postponed:
- Firehouse, originally scheduled for Friday, March 13, is rescheduled for Nov. 20
- Rodney Carrington, originally scheduled for Friday, March 27 (to be rescheduled)
- Smash Mouth, originally scheduled for Friday, April 10 (to be rescheduled)
- America, originally scheduled for Friday, April 24 (to be rescheduled)
