The United Way of Becker County will join the Lake Park Audubon High School in providing a “Community Day of Caring” on Wed., May 7, 2014. Senior citizens & disabled residents within the LPA School District are eligible to receive volunteer assistance from the students and staff.
Volunteers will be available to do yard work, plant flowers, wash windows, or to do other similar tasks. Volunteers will not be permitted to use power tools, use ladders over six feet tall, or enter private residences.
Project registration forms have been provided to local churches, the Lake Park City Center, the Audubon City Offices, and the Cormorant Store or you may call the high school office at 238-5916 to request a “Community Day of Caring Project Registration Form.” Registration forms must be submitted by April 23rd to facilitate planning.
