DETROIT LAKES PUBLIC LIBRARY

Library hopes to start bathroom renovation work soon, artistic wall also planned.
Wadena-area resident Paul Sailer, who has written two books about World War II aviation history, will be at the Detroit Lakes Public Library on Wednesday, Nov. 9 for a 10:30 a.m. presentation about his books, his own experiences as a Vietnam War helicopter pilot, and how those experiences inform his writing. This presentation in honor of Veteran's Day is free and open to the public.
Detroit Lakes author Dawn Marie Duncan, who published her first children's book, "Seraphina the Ballerina," this past spring, signed copies of her book and read it out loud to participants at a special Storytime session on Saturday, Sept. 17 at the Detroit Lakes Public Library.
Earth Day will be celebrated in communities across the country this Friday, April 22. In Detroit Lakes, there will be an environmental fair hosted by the public library, starting at 10 a.m.
