Detroit Lakes wrestling brings home five place-winners from Pequot invite

Detroit Lakes wrestling recap from the Pequot Lakes Jackhammer tournament.

The Detroit Lakes wrestling team competed against 28 other schools over the weekend at Pequot Lakes’ Jackhammer tournament.

The Lakers took ninth overall and had five wrestlers bring home top tight finishes. At 145-pounds, Tyson Ullyott took first place in his field. Cade Jackson (170) and Jacob Ehneryt (220) took fifth place in their respective weight classes. Bradley Sweirs took sixth at 138-pounds, while Cade Okeson took eighth at 152.

The next time the Lakers are in action is Jan. 8 in Foley.
