Marisa Pace, 16, daughter of Tom and Joni Pace and a high school junior from Detroit Lakes, will be performing in "Collabo Jazz" with the 3D Jazz Project Company in Cary, N.C., this Friday, Nov. 2.
Pace is a student with the Professional Training Program at Cary Ballet Conservatory, where she trains in the dance disciplines of ballet, jazz and contemporary. She is also a member of the Cary Ballet Company as well as the 3D Jazz Project Company.
Performances with Cary Ballet this year will include "The Nutcracker" and a spring production yet to be announced, while 3D Jazz Company productions will include "Jazz Across the Universe."
Pace will also compete in various events this spring, including the Youth America Grand Prix ballet competition in Winston/Salem, N.C., and ADCIBC (American Dance Competition/International Ballet Competition) in Saint Petersburg, Fla.
She began her training at Center Stage Dance Academy in Detroit Lakes, at the age of 4, under the instruction of Ronita Hackel, joined the studio's competition team at the age of 9.
In recent years, Pace has also trained and danced with the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School, Master Ballet Academy/Phoenix Ballet, FM Ballet/Gasper's School of Dance, and Next Generation Ballet.
