The 24nd annual Fargo Blues Festival will be held at Newman Outdoor Field on Friday and Saturday, July 26-27.
The festival is known for its world class entertainment on the pristine grass of Newman Outdoor Field baseball stadium. People have attended the festival from all 50 states, six Canadian provinces and 10 foreign countries.
There are 40 food, beer and novelty booths. The campground is two blocks away and three hotels are within walking distance. There is also a giant video screen featuring the top six bands.
The event starts at 2 p.m. Friday and noon Saturday. Three headliners will perform each day with 12 bands in all (10 national acts).
Friday lineup includes: Top headliner Eric Gales Band (considered world's greatest guitarist), Popa Chubby (from New York), Rick Estrin & The Nightcats (2018 Blues Band and Song of the Year), Reverend Raven & The Chain Smokin' Altar Boys, Bluedog Blues Band & The Knotties opening at 2 p.m..
Saturday lineup includes top headliner Sonny Landreth, Reverend Payton's Big Damn Band (No. 1 Blues Album), Lil' Ed & The Blues Imperials, (nominated 11 times Blues Band of the Year), Brandon Santini, Harper & Midwest Kind and Heart & Soul opening at noon.
Tickets are $45 (2 day), $30 (1 day) and $35 on-site (two night) camping pass. Available in the F-M area at Happy Harry's Bottle Shop, Mother's Music and all eight Hornbachers stores. Tickets can also be purchased online at fargobluesfest.com, or by phone at 218-287-7775.
