The Cultural Center in New York Mills is featuring photos from Italy as seen through the eyes of local travelers. “Snapshots of Italy” is on display until Sept. 14. A reception with the photographers from the show will be held from 4:30-6 p.m., Friday, Sept. 13. Refreshments will be served, admission is free, and all are welcome to attend.

This “Window to the World” travel experience took 18 travelers from Central Minnesota to many culturally significant sites throughout Italy. They visited Venice, Florence, Rome, Pompeii and several smaller towns along the Amalfi Coast. The art, culture and country offered unlimited photographic opportunities. The series of photos on display are from 11 of the travelers. The photos represent each person’s favorite moment or memory.

The Cultural Center Gallery and Gift Shop is open Wednesdays and Thursdays 10 a.m. - 7 p.m., Fridays 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Saturdays 10 am. - 3 p.m.. Admission is free and open to the public.
