I wrote my Aunt Ginger about my “what if” concerns with the new medication I was taking. Hey this is Debbie Griffith with Everyday Matters. Unwisely I had googled way too much information about its possible side effects.
My Aunt responded from Luke 10:41; “Martha Martha, you are WORRIED about so many things.” “Debbie,” she continued, “Jesus confronted Martha about her WORRY, not about how much she was doing!!!! We always think Jesus was speaking to her about her busyness but what he said was, ‘Dear Martha, you're fussing far too much and getting yourself worked up over nothing.’ Give the medicine time Debbie. Nothing is perfect. No meds are without some side affects because this is earth, not heaven. Perhaps you won’t have to stay on them but this is God's answer now. There will ALWAYS BE TEMPTATION TO FEAR but you know from 1 John 4:18 that His perfect love can cast off fear…everyday.”
