I need sleep. Without enough sleep it seems life unravels pretty quickly. Hey this is Debbie Griffith with Everyday Matters. God never sleeps. That means there’s not a second that goes by where God is not aware of everything in our lives. When I try to solve my problems without resting in the fact that God promises to take care of me and them, I lose sleep. Psalm 4:8 is a definite “go to” verse for me when I’m restless. “I will lie down and sleep in peace for you alone Oh Lord make me dwell in safety.” I repeat this over and over because repeating the truth is better than tossing and turning my anxious thoughts over and over.

There might be seasons of restlessness while we wait on God. It’s okay. You’re gonna be okay. It won’t last forever cuz Psalm 121 says; “God will not let you stumble and fall; the One who watches over you will not sleep…everyday.
