Notice is hereby given per Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 116, that Greiner, Balsiger, Rohweder Dairy LLP, has made application to the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency for a permit to expand a feedlot with a capacity of 500 animal units or more.
The existing and/or proposed feedlot will be located in the NE1/4 of the NE1/4 of Section 2, Cuba Township, Becker County, Minnesota. The existing facility consists of 2,500 dairy cows and 200 dairy calves (3,540 total animal units). Animals are confined in buildings. Manure and feed storage runoff is contained in earthen clay lined ponds. The proposed facility will consist of 3,214 dairy cows and 200 dairy calves (4,539.6 total animal units). Animals will be confined in buildings. Manure and feed storage area runoff will be contained in earthen clay lined ponds. The total animal unit capacity will be 4,539.6.
This publication shall constitute as notice to each resident and each owner of real property within 5,000 feet of the perimeter of the proposed feedlot as required by Minnesota State Law.
