IN THE MATTER OF ANNEXING A 3.8 ACRE TRACT OF LAND IN DETROIT TOWNSHIP AND ZONING THE TRACT OF LAND "B-3" AUTO-ORIENTED BUSINESS DISTRICT AT 2655 HWY 10 W AND 182 WEST LONG LAKE ROAD

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Detroit Lakes City Council will meet in the Historic Holmes Theatre Ballroom of the Detroit Lakes Community and Cultural Center, 826 Summit Ave, on Tuesday, October 13, 2020, at 5:00pm to consider the annexation of a 3.8 acre tact of land at 2655 Highway 10 West and 182 West Long Lake Road in Becker County, Detroit Township and to consider zoning such tract of land "B-3" Auto-Oriented Business District at 2655 Highway 10 West and 182 West Long Lake Road. All of these lands lie entirely within the County of Becker, Minnesota and the description such land is as follows:
Parcel Numbers: 49-0001-402 and 49-0052-200
All of that portion of land lying in Government Lot 7, Section 19 and Government Lot 4, Section 30, in Township 139 North, Range 41 West of the Firth Principal Meridian described as follow:
Lying westerly of the North - South Quarter line of said Sections 19 and 30, northerly of the south line of said Government Lot 4, easterly of the BNSF Railway - Richards Spur right of way and southerly of the southwesterly right of way line of Trunk Highway No. 10
Said Property contains 3.8 acres.
The annexation will be by Ordinance and the City has received a petition for annexation from 100% of the property owners in the area.
This matter will also be discussed at the Planning Commission meeting on Thursday, September 24, 2020, at 6:30pm in the Historic Holmes Theatre Ballroom and the Community Development Committee on Monday, October 12, 2020, at 5:00pm in the Historic Holmes Theatre Ballroom.
