NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Commissioners (the "Board") of the Detroit Lakes Development Authority (the "Authority") will be meeting on January 7, 2021 at 4:00 p.m.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Governor Walz under Minn. Stat. § Chapter 12 - Emergency Management declared a peacetime emergency on March 13, 2020. The City has determined an in-person meeting may not be practical or prudent because of the health pandemic. The City of Detroit Lakes meetings will be held via telephone conference call or by other electronic means as outlined in Minn. Stat.§13D.021. Members of the public who wish to view the meeting virtually or who desire to give input or testimony during the meeting should submit a request at comments@cityofdetroitlakes.com by January 7, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. Comments submitted must have the agenda item in the subject line.
The meeting relates to the proposal that the Authority to establish Tax Increment Financing District No. 41-1 within Redevelopment Project No. 41 and adopt the related Tax Increment Financing Plan therefor and adopt the Redevelopment Plan for Redevelopment Project No. 41 (collectively, the "Plans"); all pursuant to and in conformity with applicable law, including Minnesota Statutes, Sections 469.001 through 469.068, 469.073, 469.174 through 469.1794, and Laws of Minnesota 1985, Chapter 173, as codified. Copies of the Plans as proposed to be considered at the hearing will be on file and available for public inspection at the office of the City's Community Development Director at the Detroit Lakes City Administration Building. To obtain a copy of the Plans via email please submit your request to LRemmen@cityofdetroitlakes.com.
The map set forth below shows Redevelopment Project No. 41 and the proposed Tax Increment Financing District No. 41-1, where the increments may be collected, and also the areas where those increments may be expended, respectively, pursuant to the provisions of Minnesota Statutes, Sections 469.174 through 469.1794.
All interested persons may appear at the public hearing and present their views orally or in writing.
