Rural Ring Dike Program Recently the State of Minnesota, along with the Red River Watershed Management Board approved funding assistance for the construction and repair of farm ring dikes. This is both for new ring dike construction and anyone that may need repairs and/or improvements to an existing ring dike. This important program provides funding assistance for rural home owners to build ring dikes to protect homes and farmsteads from flooding and is similar to programs which have been previously used. Those interested in new ring dikes, or in need of repairs on existing ring dikes, should contact Amy or Stacy at the Wild Rice Watershed District office at 218-784-5501 for more information on the application process.
