The Bemidji Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Dr. Beverly Everett, will present its 6th Annual Holiday Concert on Tuesday, Dec. 7 at 7:30 in the Bemidji High School Auditorium.
Tickets are $5 for adults and seniors. All children through grade 12 are admitted free. As usual, the orchestra will play selections from Handel's "Messiah" and the audience will be invited to sing along on the choruses. Musical scores will be provided for those who need them.
The concert also includes many other sacred and secular holiday pieces such as "Carol of the Drum," "Winter Wonderland," "Still, Still Still," "Sleigh Ride" and "Santa Claus is Coming to Town." This is the second of the season's Family Concert Series.
Geoffrey Woodley was a longtime member of Bemidji Chorale, an area organist and an avid supporter of the arts, including the BSO. He was tragically killed in an auto accident on the day of the BSO's Holiday Concert two years ago. His memory will be honored by this event.
