The Becker County Food Pantry is placing some restrictions on their procedures due to the age of the volunteer staff and the issue of “social distancing” during the coronavirus outbreak, according to a news release.
The food pantry is asking clients to:
- Form a line of cars and to stay in your car until you reach the front door. You will not be allowed into the building.
- Exit your car, and go to a side window of our building to give us your information. (The pantry requires a piece of mail with your physical address on it, not a box number.)
Staff will then bring the boxes of food out to a table, and clients will have to load their own vehicles from that table.
The pantry also asks clients to "(b)ring your patience. This is our trial run," according to the release.
