Join us for an afternoon of practical advice, resources and stories that offer hope and guidance to those living with dementia and their caregivers at “Living With Dementia.” Bring your questions about living with dementia at any stage for our panel of experts.
The event is scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 20, from 3-4:30 p.m. at Ecumen Community’s Forest Conference Center, 1415 Madison Ave. It is free and open to the public.
Co-sponsored by Hospice of the Red River Valley and the Alzheimer's Association Minnesota-North Dakota, the event will feature medical experts who have cared for individuals with dementia.
The Detroit Lakes event includes Dr. Tracie Mallberg, the medical director for Hospice of the Red River Valley; Samantha Beauchman, licensed psychologist at Sanford Health, Detroit Lakes; Kendra Binger, program manager with the Alzheimer’s Association Minnesota-North Dakota; and Dr. Meenakshi Punj, Elder Care Clinic Essentia Health.
Family caregivers, professional caregivers (nurses, social workers, chaplains, clergy and physicians) and anyone who works with people living with dementia are invited. No CEs will be provided for this event.
