The sting of a rubber ball, the squeak of tennis shoes on a gym floor, and good-natured trash talk across team lines is about to be associated with a good cause — the Third Annual Feed My Starving Children MobilePack, coming to Detroit Lakes again this fall.

Teams of friends, family members or coworkers are needed to "dodge, dip, duck, dive and dodge" their way into the finals of the new Dodging Hunger Tournament, a fundraiser for the local MobilePack.

A Life Group from Lakes Area Vineyard Church is working to organize this adults-only tournament. Community members can show their support by putting together volunteer teams to compete. Teams of six to eight men and women are needed, ages 18 and up. Local businesses can show their support by becoming a sponsor of the event. Other volunteer opportunities are available, as well.

The tournament will be at the Boys & Girls Club of Detroit Lakes at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 28. To learn more, visit dodginghunger.com .
