A Moorhead man was injured Jan. 15 in a snowmobile accident south of Tulaby Lake Drive in Becker County.
Morgan Allan Leiseth, 45, was northbound on South Tulaby Lake Lane, which is also a designated snowmobile trail, when he left the trail striking a tree, according to the Becker County Sheriff’s Office. Leiseth was transported by North Memorial Air Care to Sanford Hospital in Fargo. The extent of his injuries is unknown. Leiseth was wearing a helmet and traveling with two other snowmobilers at the time of the crash.
The accident was reported at 11:11 a.m. on South Tulaby Lake Lane, approximately 1.5 miles south of Tulaby Lake Drive in Eagle View Township.
White Earth Ambulance, White Earth Police Department, Carsonville Fire and Rescue, Elbow-Tulaby Fire Department, Minnesota DNR, and North Memorial Air Care assisted at the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
