ERSKINE -- Two men suffered minor injuries in a broadside crash Saturday afternoon in Erskine.
According to the Minnesota Highway Patrol, a 1992 GMC Sierra pickup, driven by Scott Petersen, 41, of Erskine, was southbound on Vance Avenue, crossing Highway 2. A semi tractor trailer, driven by David Oman, 54, of Duluth, Minn., was eastbound on Highway 2.
The vehicles collided in the eastbound lane of the highway. Petersen told the Highway Patrol he did not see the other vehicle.
The pickup came to a rest about 200 feet east of the intersection. The semi tractor trailer sheared off a light pole and ran into a Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway building.
Roads were icy at the time of the crash.
