David William Keen Jr., 34, of Detroit Lakes, has been charged in Becker County District Court with felony fleeing a peace officer in a motor vehicle.
According to court records, on March 1 a deputy pulled over his Volkswagon Passat for speeding on Highway 59 north of Detroit Lakes.
The deputy made contact, found he was wanted on a warrant, and asked him to step out of the car.
Keen allegedly became argumentative, locked the doors and rolled up the windows, then sped off on Highway 59, leading the officer on a chase that lasted about three miles and reached speeds of 115 mph to 120 mph.
The chase ended when Keen hit a deer while fleeing eastbound on County Road 149. He was arrested, then released from custody and taken to Essentia Health in Fargo.
On March 1 District Judge Jay Carlson issued a warrant for his arrest.
